Our CWA Retired Members Council is comprised entirely of CWA retired members who want to keep their connection with the Union, stay informed and advance the cause of the retired members.
 
We support the Union in organizing and contract negotiations, mobilize to pressure employers to increase pension benefits and lobby federal and state officials to support progressive legislation.
 
To provide a forum for our members to air their concerns and share information.

DUES
Yearly RMC dues of $12.00 are due by January 1st of each year.  Dues can be mailed to the Treasurer or paid at the RMC meeting.  Please make checks payable to CWA RMC 13101.  Mailing address is CWA RMC 13101, C/O DJ Ferguson, 12 Steel Court, Newark DE 19702.  Please do not mail cash.

MEETINGS
Meetings are held the 2nd Wednesday of each month at the UTWD/CWA Local 13101 Union Hall, 350 Gooding Drive.  Please see the meeting schedule for dates and times.  Even numbered months the meetings are at 6:30 PM, odd numbered months the meeting are at 10:30 AM.  All retires that were represented by CWA at the time of their retirement are invited to attend.

MEMBERSHIP TO CWA RMC 13101
All retirees that were represented by CWA at the time of their retirement are eligible to join.  A membership form can be found on the here.  There is a one time Lifetime Membership fee of $25.00 to join the RMC along with the $12.00 local chapter dues for the current year you are joining.  Yearly chapter dues are $12.00 per year.  If you are unable to print a form, please email us at cwarmc13101@gmail.com and one will be mailed to you via US Mail.

A message from Cindy Ebner, CWA Retiree Health Care Benefit Coordinator

Below is info that I find will be helpful. I understand the bottleneck that the retirees are experiencing with UHC and the VAP plan. I encourage everyone to contact UHC @877-211-6548 and if they DO NOT get the answer that they want to call me and I will address it with my UHC liaison.

Pre-Medicare:

Pre-Medicare retirees have the option of the MCN or the MEP/PPO (but if you are in the MEP/PPO plan, I would advise you compare the two plans as to which is more advantageous for you especially with deductibles).  There have been some changes as a result of bargaining to the MCN and MEP/PPO Plans.

If you are pre-Medicare and are enrolled in an HMO or EPO you can remain in this plan.  Again, there may be changes from 2016 to 2017 as a result of bargaining.

For members who retired before 1-1-17, under the MCN plan, there is no INN (in-network) deductible, but the annual OON (out-of-network) deductible is $725.   If you retire in or after 2017, you may be subject to a different deductible.

The pre-Medicare OOPM (out of pocket maximum) is $1200 as of 8-1-16 but will be increasing to $1250 for 2017 which is in and out of network combined WITH an additional $800 OON for an individual.  The OOP for an individual +1 or more will be 2.5 times the individual OOPM.

Emergency room co-pay is $110 (waived if admitted).  Increase of $10.

PCP, Radiation, Chemo, Hemodialysis, PT, OT, ST (eval visits only), Chiro, etc. co-pays:  $25.  Increase of $5.

Specialist co-pay:  $30.  Increase of $5

OON:  60% of the MAA (maximum allowable amount) after deductible met.

Still at 90% for certain covered services including but not limited to hospital stays, surgeries/surgeons, anesthesiologists, DME (durable medical equipment), etc.

Monthly Contributions: retired on or after 1/1/13
