6-27 update
President’s Report – June 27, 2025
Here’s a quick update on what’s happening across our units:
Verizon Members
The union and the company continue to meet to try to reach a fair contract extension. I want to be extremely clear, we are not going to accept an extension just to say we got one. Any deal must be fair and reasonable for everyone involved.
Delaware State Police Civilians (FTAP)
We’re scheduled to meet with the state to discuss a flexible scheduling option for FTAP. We’ll keep members updated as that moves forward.
911 Dispatchers
We believe we’ve come to a resolution on the issue of being required to provide doctor’s notes for sick leave. If you’ve been asked to provide one, please contact your shop steward.
Capitol Police Dispatchers
There is currently no mediation date set. We’ll share any updates as soon as we have more information.
Office of the State Bank Commissioners
Our first mediation session with the state is set for Tuesday, July 2 at 1 PM. I’m not overly optimistic this will be resolved through mediation, we may need to take this all the way to PERB. We’ll continue to push hard and keep you posted.
Wells Fargo Members
The union and the company met last week for a first round of local bargaining. More information will be shared as talks progress.
For anyone who’s off next week, I hope you have a great Fourth of July. Hopefully the weather holds up. I’ll post another update next week.
In solidarity,
Mike Watson
President, CWA 13101
