📢 Union Update – May 9, 2025 📢
Hey everyone, just wanted to take a moment to give you a quick update on a few important things happening right now:
Avaya Members: We’re happy to announce that the contract was overwhelmingly ratified after a tough and lengthy battle with the company. Ratification bonuses are expected to be paid out today, May 9. We appreciate everyone’s patience throughout the bargaining process it was a challenging journey with a lot of legal hurdles, but we pushed through and secured what we believe is a fair contract for our members.
Verizon Members: Our bargaining team is gearing up to meet on Monday to start planning our strategy for the upcoming early bargaining. Our focus will be on making real improvements that matter to you, including fair wages and job security. We’ll keep you posted on our progress, and as always, we’ll be fighting to secure a contract you can be proud of.
Grievances: We’ve filed grievances over the improper loaning of employees to other areas. We’re now waiting on dates for the first step meetings, and we’ll make sure our Divisional Vice Presidents (DVPs) keep everyone in the loop on this process.
Mother’s Day: Finally, with Mother’s Day coming up this Sunday, we want to take a moment to recognize and thank all the incredible moms out there, especially those who are working on Sunday. Your dedication, strength, and hard work don’t go unnoticed, and we appreciate everything you do.
