Update 5-16

President’s Update – May 16, 2025

Just wanted to give everyone a quick update on a few things going on across the Local.

OSBC and Capitol Police Members –
The mediation process with the State of Delaware has officially begun. As I mentioned before, this will not be a fast process, but we’re making progress. I’ll continue to send updates as they become available.

Verizon Members –
The union and the company will meet next Wednesday, May 21, to discuss early bargaining. We’re looking to make headway on several key issues, and we’ll report back after that meeting.
Also, the grievance regarding the company’s practice of loaning technicians outside of their normal reporting area was heard on Wednesday. Unfortunately, it was denied and will now move to the next step. The company continues to move techs from one location to another with no clear process or justification. We will keep you posted as we move forward.
