Capital Police Dispatchers

I just wanted to provide an update on our bargaining session for the new Capital Police Dispatchers with the state yesterday. It was a very productive meeting where we were able to discuss key components of the contract, including the grievance procedure, union officers, performance reviews, employee rights, and vacation—essentially laying the foundation for a solid union contract.

Unfortunately, with the new administration in DHR, we weren’t able to discuss compensation at this meeting. However, the state’s mediator reassured us that he is working with the current administration to develop a comprehensive wage proposal, which we expect to be discussed at our next meeting.

Overall, I believe this was a positive step forward in the bargaining process, and I’ll keep you all posted as things progress. Thanks for your continued support!
